Our Story

From RAKxa to RXV

Our sister property, RAKxa Integrative Wellness, opened its doors in 2020 and found success in offering a complete integrative and health goal driven wellness experience. RAKxa’s breadth and depth extends across 200 treatments and various modalities including Traditional Thai, Chinese, Ayurveda, Energy healing, Physiotherapy, Anti Ageing Medicine, and more.

The success of RAKxa prompted the team to envision a new concept around integrative wellness aimed at a broader audience and embracing a more social, casual, ambiance. Our wellness teams purposefully curated a selection of signature treatments and programmes that we believe offer the most impactful wellness experience to the broader wellness community.

The Heritage of Suan Sampran

The story of Suan Sampran began in 1961. While surveying the area by boat, Dr. Chamnan & Khunying Valee Yuvaboon stumbled on a hundred-year-old Pikul tree close to tipping over into the river, the two decided to purchase the property to save this marvelous tree and build a weekend home for their family.

Khunying Valee, through her passion for gardening, gradually sculpted the vast estate into a magnificent garden, eventually opening it to the public. People began to take notice, and Khunying Valee's garden became a popular weekend-destination for Bangkok residents.

The Story of “The Rose Garden”

Visitors started referring to Suan Sampran as the "Rose Garden", a name that reflected a vast bed of roses that Khunying Valee had cultivated as part of the gardens.

As Suan Sampran's reputation for beauty and nature spread, it became a key attraction for those visiting Bangkok and hosted members of royal families, other heads of states, and celebrities from around the world.

Building on Nature

When the founders of RXV first visited Suan Sampran, they were struck by the natural beauty of its gardens and setting, incredible history, and organic-sustainable practices.

However, it was the one thing that drew the Yuvaboon family to the property over 60 years ago that made the greatest impression on our team—the tree’s spoke to them.

This labor of love continues today. Suan Sampran has held IFOAM organic certification since 2012 and now incorporates a popular organic weekend-market that supports local and sustainable farming.

The Perfect Place for Wellness

Recognizing Sampran was an ideal location for wellness, the team began plans for a new wellness facility that would draw its inspiration from the trees, the Tha-Chin river, and the existing commitment to organic-sustainable practices.

Today, RXV is complete with a newly renovated hotel and a brand-new 4,000 sqm wellness facility, all within a 50 acres natural healing environment.
